As part of my law enforcement background, I worked independently on complex criminal investigations, performing a full range of criminal investigative functions in order to obtain evidence or make observations to resolve and close criminal cases. I have assisted in complex armed protective operations as a member of a team as well as coordination with other law enforcement personnel. I regularly functioned in an environment requiring the ability to "think on one's feet" under conditions imposing deadlines, numerous requirements, or controversial outcomes. I have spent (14) of the last (20) years with a specialized investigative unit of the Washington D.C. Metropolitan Police Department. Lastly, I have come to the realization that my time with the Metropolitan Police Department is coming to an end. I have gained a wealth of knowledge in these last 20 years and look forward to new experiences in the future, albeit in a different enviornment. Although I have cherished my time at MPD, I no longer have the sense of fulfillment that I once had. I would like the opportunity to expand my knowledge base and utilize my years of experience in another capacity.
