Director for the Merck - Conceptualized and led the Integrated Development Platform (IDP) portfolio, for Clinical Development and Regulatory Affairs. IDP encompasses Patient Data Management, Clinical Trial Management, Statistical Analysis and Reporting, and Regulatory Affairs. The IDP program was structured as an Enterprise class multi-year business & IT partnership initiative. It has achieved a significant reduction in clinical cycle time and the overall total cost of ownership of clinical applications. IDP also has become an exemplar use-case for how to structure and run Enterprise class portfolios with a focus on value creation.

Accountable for the achievement of $ 90M in synergy savings from Global IT through multiple cost reduction initiatives through 2010. Achieved the $ target by 5 % and ahead of schedule.Portfolio Management:-Created the Strategic Roadmap and Rolled out an Enterprise Portfolio Project Management Tool (CA –Niku -Clarity) to automate the Governance and PM Methodology processes.- Developed and deployed an IT Governance framework to help foster a consistent and effective Business-IT partnership. This model is helping to effectively manage the IT project portfolio and ensure the demand-supply balance for IT services. -Developed and successfully rolled out a Project Management Methodology for GIT deployed through a PM portal. 150+ PMs trained globally. 90%+ customer sat rating. -Led a team of Finance and IT Directors in the establishment of a IT Value Realization framework for improving IT investments.
