As a Investigator I work in partnership with the community I serve to maintain law and order. I also protect members of the public and their property, prevent crime, reduce the fear of crime and improve the quality of life for all citizens. I also use a wide range of technology to protect individuals, identify the perpetrators of crime and ensure successful prosecutions against those who break the law. As a detective I follow up on police reports and take the lead in criminal investigations for felony based offenses. I often work with other law enforcement agencies to apprehend suspects and solve crimes. I most often spend my time interviewing witnesses and consulting with forensic science technicians to establish the facts of a crime. I interrogate suspects, write reports and testify in court. I have a wide variety of training in fire and rescue and law enforcement. It is my duty to familiarize myself with the response district and Standard Operating Guidelines of the Warren County Sheriff’s Office to ensure a safe and timely service to the citizens and visitors of Front Royal/Warren County, VA"A good leader is being the example others wish to follow."
