Serving as the Executive Director for the seven counties along Lake Erie in Northeast Ohio from the Pennsylvania border to the border of Sandusky County. Headquartered in Cleveland, we serve 15,000 youth with a $4.5 million operating budget. Our full time team of 35 partner with thousands of parents and adult volunteers to deliver the promises of Scouting to youth, families and our communities in a mix of urban, suburban and rural areas.As we go through a major geographical and cultural recalibration, Scouting in our area seeks to realign itself as a solution provider and to pursue strategies that place our units at the center of our newly forming organization.

Responsible for partnering with volunteers to orchestrate the successful merger of 4 councils. Focus placed on building a new culture, determining effective ways to communicate and engage volunteers and staff and creating a new model of service for one of the now largest councils in the country with an $8 million operating budget serving 23,000 youth members, 5,000 volunteers and 65 full-time staff members.

Served as the Executive Director for the Rainbow Council, Boy Scouts of America a council with nearly 5,000 youth and a $1.2 million operating budget. Headquartered in Morris with a full time staff of 9 and three thousand adult volunteers, the council covers the Illinois counties of Grundy, Kankakee and Will.Partnered with key volunteer community and business leaders to guide the council through a significant re-introduction and branding period aimed at articulating Scouting’s positive story and message and bringing it back to the forefront in the three county area.

Responsible for all aspects of the council with a budget of $5.5 million, 17,000 youth members, 5,000 volunteers and 40 full time staff members. Prospected, cultivated and mentored a team of 18 top-notch executives. Used strong team building, training, coaching and motivating skills that concentrated not just on the success of each individual, but on the critical success of the team and organization. 9 of the executives have been promoted to positions with leadership and development responsibility. Others have gone on to achieve success in different fields.
