About Marc S. Cooper

Marc Cooper is the Chief Executive of Solomon Partners. He joined the firm in 1999 as a Partner. He was promoted to Vice Chairman in July 2013 and elevated to Chief Executive Officer in 2016. As the former Head of Global Retail, Marc advised numerous clients on mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, recapitalizations and restructurings, capital markets transactions and shareholder activism.Marc was responsible for the 2016 transaction in which Natixis SA purchased 51% of Solomon Partners creating an enhanced global M&A advisory and financing platform.Before joining Solomon Partners, Marc was Co-Founder and Vice Chairman of Barington Capital Group.
