A one-year assignment wherein I implemented the complete recruitment, hiring and placement function for this Long Island-wide program that is a partnership with Newsday and eight corporate sponsors. Heavily promoted in the publication, on Cablevision, social networking sites and via its own site, www.greenstreetli.com.Created a comprehensive yet easy to manage infrastructure for the program that provides a turn-key staffing solution allowing the operation to quickly enter the marketplace with well trained and professional "Ambassadors" who are the front-line sales force, explaining the advantages of joining the movement. The program uses mall-based kiosks operating seven days a week and additional community events on the weekend requiring additional staffing requirements. Developed recruiting and training materials and worked with the in-house staff to take over and administer this part of the project at completion of the assignment.Assisted in marketing efforts for GreenStreet LI as well as other clients of the communications firm (Blue Wolf Communications) that is the operating partner of GreenStreet LI.

Wrote articles, white papers, Press Relases, collateral material, etc. Created mailing program and assisted in the development of identity branding for new divisions.As the first-time communications professional, I created online content directed a botht job hunters and hiring companies. Wrote all the web content including articles, surveys, PR releases and spoke with media representatives. In just over one year, the material was been quoted in The Wall Street Journal, Forbes and has been mentioned on WCBS MarketWatch, Yahoo! and Google News, newsguide.us, and is routinely used on job hunting/career sites; As a result, WallStJobs.com continually appeared as the #1 result in searches of this discipline on Google and Yahoo!

Invigorated this group of non-alumni parents into a vibrant organization that provides a powerful source of monetary and intellectual contributions to the university.Working with my wife, we created new events, worked with university leaders and vastly improved access to university for the parents of students who would not otherwise be so effectively engaged. Our efforts expanded the active membership of the Parents Fund and engenders favorable feedback from our parents who are not alumni themselves. We were highly successful in getting these parents to, 'adopt' Cornell as their own.The parents committee has become a recognized asset to the university and has continued to thrive as a result of our efforts to make the group visible and supportive.
