Direct NWF’s Great Lakes water and conservation programs. Design and implement advocacy and political strategies to advance water restoration policies at the state and federal level. Lead team of policy and legal staff. Testified on a wide range of Great Lakes, wildlife and conservation issues before the U.S. House Natural Resources Subcommittee of Fisheries, Wildlife, Oceans and Insular Affairs, the Michigan and Ohio Legislature, EPA, BLM, USFWS, U.S Army Corps of Engineers, and the Great Lakes Regional Body and Compact Council. Appointed by Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer to serve as a Commissioner on the Great Lakes Commission. In addition, serve as a special designee on the Council of Great Lakes Governor’s Advisory Committee for the Great Lakes Compact and Agreement, and serves on the Great Lakes Commission’s Panel on Aquatic Nuisance Species. Founding board member of the Ohio Conservation Federation.

The Great Lakes Commission works with its member states and provinces to address issues of common concern, develop shared solutions, and collectively advance an agenda to protect and enhance the region’s economic prosperity and environmental health.
