I have designed, run, and facilitated Residence Life programs in Pennsylvania, Puerto Rico, New Hampshire, California, and Florida. In addition to previous responsibilities, I facilitate weekend activities and serve as weekend contact for Residential Life issues. I run the largest dormitory on campus, the boys' non-senior dorm. In that capacity I teach life and community skills as well as facilitating off campus activities with the students. SVA is a for-profit, privately owned coed boarding school located in Olympic Valley, CA in the Sierra Nevada range. We are 5 miles from Tahoe City, CA and 8 miles from Truckee, CA just off route 89, about a mile from the Squaw Valley Ski area. Squaw Valley was the site of the 1960 Winter Olympics.The school has a capacity of approximately 80 boarding students. Among our most prolific activities are the winter sports, skiing, snow boarding, etc. Our proximity to several world class ski areas makes that possible. We are located inside the Tahoe National Forest, within close proximity to several State parks, Donner Lake, Lake Tahoe, Carson City, NV and Reno, NV.
