I am a service professional with deep experience in leadership. My strengths include mentoring and problem solving. I have been nominated for a staff excellence award and managed a full team turnover and am interested in building an award winning team in my next role.A student services leader with over 14 years’ experience in managing and leading teams in the VET and Higher Education sector. I have helped achieve an organisational high QILT student satisfaction rating of 80.8% for Sydney Institute of Business and Technology which is 22 highest in the country in 2022. The student support QILT score has increased by 6.5% from when I first took over as manager in 2019. I was nominated for a staff excellence award for excellence and innovation in performance by TAFE NSW in 2013. I have a values based style of leadership which promotes authenticity in my staff. The aim is to harness their uniqueness and grow core capabilities with the output empowerment to provide service excellence. I had a realisation that in order to succeed you need to be constantly learning and I have recently completed my Professional certificate in Data Analytics from Google and well are various certifications and will continue to do more in the near future. I am recently implemented a transition plan in my role to ensure that student services are maintained to a high standard even with a high turnover of staff. I have been responsible for implementing personal development goals for staff which have resulted in them developing within the organisations I have worked for. I am the main data analyst in my current role reporting on attrition, retention, and completion rates both annually and session to session. I utilise Excel as well as Power BI to execute this.In addition to reporting, I look after the retention activities to ensure that we have as many students return to study as possible. The values I have set for me team is help students, work for each other, next student up approach, fail forward; and be authentically you. What gets me excited is working with people that are passionate helping them grow. I also love challenging myself and learning from my mistakes in order to improve, setting a high standard of achievement. I love my sport. Football, rugby league and American football. A mad Middlesbrough, Bulldogs and Ravens fan in that order. I love self development with the view to achieving self actualisation.
