Throughout my career, I’ve built budgets and long-range financial plans, overseen investments and endowments, and managed auditors, financial staff, complex construction programs and capital campaigns – eliminating deficits, almost doubling the budget of every organization and raising over $100M. The pursuit of equality and social justice has always been central to my upbringing and a defining tenet of my career. From the professional staffs and Boards I have helped assemble, the organizational cultures and behaviors I have designed, to the university courses I have taught – I have never lost sight of the value that comes from diversity and equality. As a cross-functional leader I am proficient in driving business objectives and coalescing stakeholders around key objectives through diversity, inclusion, and employee empowerment. I have led organizations in developing awareness, comfort, and confidence to address and champion equity leveraging deep experience in human services, social welfare, healthcare, behavioral health, food insecurity, and education.I am a passionate advocate for mission-focused institutions and clients and have created partnerships and synergies to better the larger community, including speaking at conferences, giving workshops, and organizing and serving on panels about social justice challenges. I have also successfully lobbied elected officials.
