With over 16 years of experience in education, I have held various leadership roles in both Douglas County and Storey County School Districts in Nevada. Beginning my career as a Mathematics Teacher at Douglas High School, I crafted engaging lesson plans, collaborated on research projects, and rewrote curriculum.Transitioning to administration in 2017, I served as the Dean of Students and Athletic Director at Douglas High School. In this capacity, I led district-wide initiatives and managed various aspects of the athletic department.As Principal of George Whittell High School and Zephyr Cove Elementary School from 2021 to 2022, I spearheaded data-driven improvement initiatives and collaborated with stakeholders to enhance learning opportunities for students.In July 2022, I took on the role of Executive Director of Grants & Accountability, overseeing various districtwide responsibilities, including accountability, grants management, state reporting, and Career & Technical Education programs.Currently, I am the Director of Student and Staff Operations for the Storey County School District. In this position, I am responsible for overseeing the smooth functioning of the district's operations, ensuring the success of both students and staff.Throughout my career, I have leveraged my leadership, communication, and organizational skills to foster positive change in public education. My commitment to building relationships, utilizing data-driven decision-making, and promoting equitable access to resources has been a driving force in my professional journey.
