Contracted to design a custom system to add an Airshow smoke system using smoke canisters. Pics below show the 3D printed test assembly and parts are currently being CNC machined. Each side of the helicopter will have 2ea of these assemblies for a total 4 smoke tubes per side and total of 8 Tubes per helicopter. I am outfitting two helicopters at the moment for the first test. If test goes well will outfit other Red Bull Helicopters as well as start a design for their Extra 300 fixed wing aerobatic airplane. CAD model and 3D printed test assembly shows an earlier design that was bolted together. Final design was modified for welded construction.

Contracted by a well known local Modern Artist to Design and Fabricate an Art Installation for an installation at a museum in Istanbul. Everything designed in Solidworks. Parts consist of 3 CNC machined 6061 Aluminum large ellipses (47" x 95" x 2' Thick) mounted at compound angles with #8 mirror finish Stainless Steel cladding. To cut weight internally epoxy bonded Aluminum honeycomb is used. All fasteners hidden with nearly imperceptible seams. Sculpture was assembled on site in a restricted stairwell.Sculpture is suspended from the ceiling and hidden behind a drop ceiling is an enormous gearbox with a VFD rotating the entire sculpture at 1RPM. Total weight not including the gearbox is roughly 1400lbs. Per the photos there is little to no perceptible distortion in the mirror finish and was a design criteria from the Artist. Start to finish on the project was roughly 3 months.

Use case is for volumetric filming or sporting events and Verizon’s main customer for this equipment is the NFL , US Tennis and FIFA.• 100% designed in Solidworks by myself. CNC machining contracted out with local and overseas vendors. 3D printing and laser cutting and etching done in house.• Assembly and training done in house.• Rigs used RED cameras and Zeiss lenses. (RED and Zeiss also partners on this project)

Cloudbase Aviation is a division of Cloudbase Engineering LLC. We offer plans and sub-kits for two single place aircraft. The Skylite is a Legal Part 103 ultralight and the LiL Bitts is a small lightweight biplane reminiscent of the Pitts. Currently Plans are available now with sub kits in process. Currently working on the Slylite Fuselage in Solidworks with plans to offer a pre-notched tube kit. Also planning a Wing Rib materials kit and empenage kit. Responsible for the mechanical design of all VR hardware. Custom hand controllers, HMD and other peripherals. All hardware used a wireless technology for both position acquisition and Video.For the first year all engineering and design was done solely by me. After, I began to form a team and managed a few other engineers.Worked closely with the Director of Industrial Design to implement his ideas into products capable of prototyping and manufacture.Worked closely with the EE team to advise them on my needs for rough footprint for all custom board designs. All board designs were driven by available space in the hardware.Prototype product was well received in the industry and was instrumental in Survio’s ability to get series B funding.

Red Digital acquired the Element Technica side of 3Ality in April, 2013. Worked as part of the "Black Ops" team, responsible for prototyping and the design of Future Red Products.Managed the development of multiple new products from Initial design to prototype to manufacture.

Element Technica was acquired by 3ality Technica in August 2011. Supported the 3ality line of 3D rigs as well as any design upgrades when needed. Developed a new design taking the best of the ET rigs and 3Ality rigs which was prototyped and delivered in a short period of time.

Element Technica specialized in the design and support of camera accessories for the Motion Picture Camera industry. Solely developed an entire new division of products which would become a line of 3D rigs used to film 3D movies. Designed 100% of the mechanical design on the Quasar 3D Rig and roughly 75% on the Pulsar, Neutron & Atom.Assembled a small team of people to work on the software and custom electrical design side of the Technica 3D rigs and worked closely with them.As the lead engineer at Element Technica, I managed the engineering department and mentored less experienced Engineers.Tasked with initial assembly and maintenance of all 3D rigs.

Ibex Engineering specializes in the Custom Capitol Equipment Design and Construction of automated Sub-Micron Positioning, Assembly and Inspection SystemsManaged in-house automation projects for the Medical and Semiconductor Industries.Developed highly specialized Ultra-High Vacuum compatible systems for Government Research labs such as Stanford, Lawrence Livermore, Berkley, Sandia and Brookhaven.Tasked with initial design concept, completed 3D System Layout, Component Selection and Integration, all Bill of Materials, Initial Assembly, as well as ensuring that components would arrive on time to meet delivery date.Managed two other Design Engineers in the department.

Scion Photonics specialized in the Custom Capitol Equipment Design and Construction of automated Sub-Micron Positioning, Assembly and Inspection Systems for the Hard Disk and Tape Drive Industries as well as the Fiber Optic Industry. JDS Uniphase acquired Scion Photonics in May 2002 and shut down the Southern Automation division.Managed in-house projects for various customers such as: Xerox, IBM, ReadRite, Seagate, Hewlett Packard. Followed Projects from initial customer contact through buy-off. Responsible for initial design concept and completed 3D System Layout, Component Selection and Integration, all Bill of Materials, as well as ensuring that components would arrive on time to meet delivery date.Solely responsible for all physical mechanics of the system before machine is passed off to the custom software department.

Future Automation Specialized in the design of Automated Wafer Plating capitol equipment for the Semi-conductor industry. In 08/2001 company moved all automated equipment design to Florida facilityWorked as part of a small engineering team to develop a completely automated machine to e electroplate 150mm, 125mm 100mm and 3 inch wafers. Designed all of the custom automation equipment needed to load and unload the wafers into the tooling racks before and after plating had been completed. Solely responsible for any off the shelf component selection as needed. Successfully integrated third party wafer handling robot and pre-aligner to work with custom designed automation components. Routinely met with vendors to ensure that the proper components were selected.Developed all Assembly Bill of materials and assembly drawings. Machine was brought from initial concept to completion in less than six months.
