I teach people how to transform their scribbled notes and scrambled thoughts for an important presentation or pitch, their talking points for a career-changing interview or networking event, and their qualifications for a job-hunting resume and cover letter, into an engaging and influential narrative experience. Sitting in my 2nd grade classroom, I was trembling because I knew my teacher was about to call on me to present in front of the entire class. I thought I was going to die. Many years later, I found myself standing in the back of a room, beaming with pride, as the five children in my class brought the audience to their feet in an overjoyed ovation with the speeches they developed and delivered. My adult clients have had the same effect on people. I have developed a passion for studying the craft of public speaking and interpersonal communication, and helping others to develop their powerful presence when presenting themselves in front of other people. One of the top reasons why people get rejected from business, career, leadership, and networking opportunities is because of our communication and interpersonal skills. The world is attracted to confidence and enthusiasm. I bring that out in people so they can profit from their presence.My Rules of Engagement training program has been hosted by universities such as PACE and Hofstra, as well as professional organizations, such as the Long Island Board of Realtors, Jack & Jill of America, and the National Society of Black Engineers.
