Product Designer wanting to make a difference through Sustainable Design and Optimization of new products, with a compassion to find a solution. I have extensive experience working within different cultures due to living in various different countries, such as; Australia, South Africa, Singapore and Indonesia. While living in South Africa, I have worked and taken an education within various different areas of Game Reserve parks, places such as Botswana and Kruger National Park. I attended a year long education provided by Eco-Training where we learnt about flora and fauna and animals and how to deal with dangerous encounters, while providing an amazing experience to customers. This experience has taught me how to provide for customers during their stay and more importantly make sure they are safe. I’ve also had to do various general maintenance around the camps, from electrical work, making sure there were hot showers and how to deal with stressful situations while walking with customers in an open game reserve. With that being said, I have been living in Denmark for the past 8 years. During those years I have completed an AP and a Bachelor's degree in Product Design at KEA. During my internships I worked in various different areas of Product Design. Northern Layers was a startup 3D Printing company that had a mission to make it easier for the general public to have access to 3D Printing, whether it be everyday people or students wanting prototypes for school projects. This internship allowed me to delve deeper into LEAN Manufacturing, where we had to continuously optimize the production line to cut down on waste and time on prints. My Bachelor internship was at one of Denmarks most sustainable companies, Chr. Hansen. I was a part of a department called Global Engineering and they were responsible for global packaging that Chr. Hansen used them for their products. During my internship I had to find an alternative and sustainable solution to EPS as a packaging material. Skills such as Material Research, Market Research and Testing were used throughout my internship in order to achieve the results that Chr. Hansen was happy at the end of my internship, and continued on with my work after I was done with my internship. I have always strived to help others, whether this be my peers during studies or wanting to help customers achieve their dreams. This is where I find my own personal success, success within others and seeing results.
