Professional Educator of Literature, Creative Writing, English Language Arts and English as a Second Language that believes in student centered learning promoting creativity, engagement and exploration of one's self in relation to our ever spinning world through hands on opportunities to learn actively, experientially, and meaningfully. Experience predominately in diverse, high need communities, and internationally. Teaching as my career choice has allowed me to further my life long love of forever being a student, while inspiring a love of learning in my students. Our world and it's complexities amaze and excite me, as does the idea of sharing it with my students. It is their growth that is at the heart of everything I do, and it is my desire to ignite passion in and provide support to those whom need it most. Teaching subject matter is of course imperative, but my ultimate goal is to have my students know that they ARE special, and they CAN achieve anything they want in life through education, dedication and hard work. Additionally, I am a writer, baseball fanatic and nature enthusiast with a deep fascination for culture, culinary and history, and hold over 10 years of hospitality experience.Basic reading, writing and speaking skills in Italian, Spanish, Mandarin and Cup'ig.
