I have over 30 years of experience in Structural Engineering. I pride myself on being a focused problem solver when it comes to the design of building structures, whether it be Base-Isolated City Halls (Hayward City Hall), Parking Structures, Corporate Office Building Campuses, Multifamily Housing, or Highrise Residential Towers. My passion for structural engineering has manifested itself working with many innovative structural systems including pioneering use of the Precast Hybrid Moment Resisting Frame, Prefabricated Metal Bearing Wall systems, and innovative concrete systems. I works closely with the construction industry to find ways to constantly improve my professional practice and look for opportunities to integrate the design and construction process. I've been involved with Design Build projects for my entire career and have established great relationships with the contracting community.One of my most recent focuses has been on the development of more Sustainable concrete mix designs utilizing high volume flyash and slag to replace as much as 70% of the cement in traditional mixes.
