About Marc Silver

I recently retired to devote more time to wildlife photography, traveling and playing music. In my professional life, I was most recently responsible for the customer experience of products for International SOS, one of the world's best known medical and security assurance providers. Prior to that, I established and built the UX function for the world's leading educational research and assessment organization, including overseeing the usable design of registration and scoring platforms, websites, applications, apps and score reports. I have authored a successful college textbook on interface design, published by Cengage, that achieved wide adoption in the U.S., Australia and Europe. I have served on several corporate advisory boards and councils, most recently serving on the Rutgers University Professional Science Masters Program's Industrial Advisory Board, where I mentor students and advise the program's UX curriculum. I have also served on a mentoring panel for the University of Delaware's Horn Entrepreneurship program. In my spare time, I am an avid nature photographer, amateur naturalist, and inventor who has created several mobile games and partnered with companies that brought them to market. I also enjoy fitness, playing piano and steel tongue drum, and cooking. I have been married for 30 years to the same wonderful woman, and we have two amazing grown children.
