About Marc Bensadoun

I split my time between seed-stage investing with my wife Cristina, several board and advisory roles, and homeschooling our 12-year-old daughter Gabriella. My background is experimental astrophysics, and I graduated with a BA in Physics from Cornell and a Ph.D from UC Berkeley with George Smoot, the 2006 Nobel Laureate in physics. I founded Newfield Wireless, initially to help mobile network operators model, plan, and optimize their networks. I then broadened the company to include an enterprise big data platform to provide mobile network operators with unique mobile geoanalytics and valuable radio access network insights. During this 10 year product phase, I grew Newfield at a 40% CAGR with no outside capital. I sold Newfield in 2013 and stayed on to help integrate and realize the vision of the sale.
