Library Associate
Current- Guide adult patrons in navigating and accessing a variety of digital and print library resources. Over the phone or in person: locate books for patrons; provide reader's advisory; demonstrate to patrons how to print, scan, and email documents on library computers; help patrons book library study or meeting rooms, show patrons how to use online databases like newspaper or government archives, provide information to patrons about free resources like job-search and professional development courses and materials, health and financial planning resources, buyer’s advisory resources, food banks, shelters, personal hygiene services, English-language or adult education courses, and much more. - Design themed, monthly book displays, celebrating holidays, historical events, and cultural heritage or identity months. Select and pull 12-16 books from our collections to display, create display signage including guides that explain content and context of display or present and analyze archival images and documents. - Applied and was accepted to be a blogger for CPL website. Brainstorm and write posts that highlight the breadth and significance of CPL’s collections such as themed booklists and quizzes, history posts featuring documents and images from our special collections, and guides to online databases and resources.
