Cerebra Innovation Centre (CIC) are a team of designers producing unique equipment for disabled children. CIC undertake many design projects initiated the members of the charity and develop, design and produce products to help in the daily lives of children with neurological conditions.Some of the products are ‘one-off’ bespoke designs, and others are made in small batches. The way we have to make things because of the small numbers, require ingenuity in design and manufacture. We constantly strive to make the best products to the highest standards.CIC was originally set up because although some equipment is available to buy, it often doesn’t look very nice or it does not suit the requirements of some children. We develop logical solutions that aim to reduce some of the social stigma attached to disabilities by making really good looking, stylish and functional products.

Mmofra & Playtime in Africa InitiativeThe foundation, based in Accra, Ghana, advocates for open spaces in the built environments for children. They aim to create child-centered design of outdoor and indoor spaces, as well as for play as a means for learning. They believe the need for them is even more pressing as Ghana, and the African continent as a whole, continues to urbanize and have used an informal, outdoor space for their educational programs for many years.Now, with the help of an international network of architects, planners, engineers, educators and artists, Mmofra is turning a two-acre plot in Accra’s Dzorwulu neighborhood into a sustainably designed, child-focused park concept called Playtime in Africa.
