enior Sports Supervisor, City of Peoria Community Services Department· Management of $1.2 million annual sports program budget· Oversight of expenditures and revenue sources including writing and management of commodity and service contracts, procurement processes and public bids· Supervision of 4 professional staff and oversight of 80 part-time/seasonal staff· Developed relationships with local and regional vendors to create sponsorship program and attain $300,000 in sponsorships over a 10-year period· Represent city interests on several steering/organizing committees: Sports Facility Development Committee, Special Events Planning Committee, Special Event Request Committee (Lead), Super Bowl Event Organizing Committee (Lead), Public Information Office Communications Team, Phoenix Regional Sports Commission (2006-2008)· Administration of facility use contracts for sports facilities with private promoters, leagues and internal programs· Preparation and submission of weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports. Perform financial audits and tracking of program expenditures. Recommend changes in writing to supervisory chain as needed· Coordination of maintenance schedules and service at 2 large community parks (16 ball fields and 8 soccer fields) and 35 neighborhood parks. Served on design team for several park and sports facility projects· Maintain working relationships and coordinate programming with large school district, 14 local leagues/programs, private users and internal customers· State Chairman for Hershey Track and Field Program· Member of Arizona Senior Olympics Games Management Team and Board of Directors· Served as co-chairman and/or host of six national sporting championships, 14 statewide championships and numerous local tournaments and events
