Computer Aided Engineer (CAE) at the innovation department of Zanini Auto Grup a plastic injection world leader company in the automotive industry. My tasks are:- Develop all kind of simulations and calculations of parts and manufacturing tools or process using Msc Marc, Msc Mentat, Msc Patran, Sc Tetra and Sc Flow mainly.- Model validation- Material characterization- Calculation procedure standardization- Support to product designers---------------------------------------------------------------------Some typical calculations that I perform are:- Thermal management simulations of electronic parts using mainly CFD.- Mechanical linear and non-linear simulations of snap-fits including fatigue calculations. - Plastic welding assembly process.- Vibration analysis.

CDEI is a technology innovation center at the UPC and provides support for equipement developement. In my period there I developed and leadered two projects including the following responsabilities: - Customer meetings to generate the specifications.- Research and development of concept solutions- Conceptual design.- CAD detailed design applying DFMA, DFQ and DFE techniques.- Finite Element Model validation- Suppliers search- Prototyping manufacturing coordination, assembly and validation

Internship at the permanent magnet generator department, in charge of developing the generator for the offshore wind turbines of Alstom Wind (now GE) the Haliade. My responsabilites there were: - Development of a thermal calculation tool, including offshore wind turbine specific cooling system. (Haliade 6MW)- Validation of the tool with measurements- Review CFD analysis.- Documentation of the tool (user handbook, tool description and validation report)- Development of new cooling conceptual designs using the developed tool.
