Reporting to the Chief Executive. Responsibilities include: - Line management of Membership Services Managers and responsible for the staff that they manage- Driving Growth in the Membership Services areas (Activities, Advice and Representation)- Deputising for the CEO - Supporting the development of a Volunteering Programme and a total organisation re-brand- Working with the CEO to review policies and procedures to ensure they work for our growing team and new strategic focusses.- In line with our new strategy, setting clear and stretching objectives for your team to reachmore of our students than ever before.- Budget responsibility of circa £40k.-Take the lead on the planning of key events in the calendar for the Union, ensuring that all members of the team are involved and clear on expectations and targets. Examples of such events are Welcome Week and the SU Awards.- Write engaging and clear reports for a wide variety of audiences.- Implementing processes for expenditure tracking to ensure we are spending as per the budget. You will also need to be able to think flexibly about re-forecasting throughout the year, working with the CEO to manage resources appropriately.

Current responsibilities include:•supporting the University on the Student contribution to their Quality Enhancement Review undertaken by the Quality Assurance Agency•Supporting the CEO with the organisations’ Quality Students’ Union accreditation.•Line manager to the Student Voice Co-ordinator responsible for the course representative system.• Secretary to WGSU Student Council.• Deputy Returning Officer for the WGSU elections.• Project lead for the Student Led Teaching Awards.• Supporting the sabbatical officers to deliver high quality campaigns and produce student voice reports for the University.

Responsibilities include:• Lead staff member and oversight of the Course Representative System. • Project lead for the online feedback tool, Tell Glyndwr and extra 20 credit module in Advocacy for course reps. (Both winners of NUS UK Education Award 2017) • Lead for the organisation’s Green impact submission (Took the organisation from a ‘Good’ accreditation to ‘Excellent’ and won the highest scoring nation at NUS UK Awards 2018).• Supporting sabbatical officers to deliver high quality campaigns, most recently a Period Poverty campaign that saw WGSU take the ‘Participation Award’ at the NUS UK Awards 2018. • Secretary to the Student Council.• Deputy Returning Officer for the Students’ Union Elections.
