Managed a team of up to 19 Sales Associates, who sell wholesale vacation packages to clients. Managed the day to day operations of the office, including training of new employees and closure of the day’s sales activity. Gave group presentations of the vacation program to prospective clients, explaining how buying their vacation accommodations in bulk, in advance, would enable them to lock in the rates at today’s wholesale prices. The company has condo-type resorts at various locations throughout the world.

Managed local IT Infrastructure consisting of Data Center Operations (3,500 square foot center) with 6 Server Support Technicians providing 24 x 7 on-site coverage, Server Operations (~300 systems) with 4 System Administrators, and Network & Telecom Operations (~7500 nodes) with 5 Network Engineers. Also, managed Intel’s Global Data Center Strategy. Led a team of Server Engineers from the Core Infrastructure and Engineering Computing groups to consolidate their services and move servers from the smaller local data centers to the larger Global Hub data centers.

Supervise the Senior Console Operator on the midnight to 8:15 am shift while reporting to the Computer Operations Manager, and responsible for the daily operation of a Unisys A18 (Dual Processor), a Hewlett Packard 3000, and a Burroughs Micro B38. Responsible for all applications which included updates, sales to the trade reports, order entry, and shipment interfaces. Also included were the nightly, weekly, and monthly backup of database and production files, processing and distributing of reports, the daily upkeep of a spreadsheet on the Micro B38, and dealing with user related problems with tele/data communications.
