Dr. Marc A. De Simone, Sr., is a consultant, and author, who teaches leadership, theories, models, and practical applications as an adjunct full professor at the University of Maryland Global Campus (formerly UMUC). He was also a practitioner faculty member at the Johns Hopkins University for 17 years. Marc provides consulting on leadership to private and public sector entities. He holds a Bachelor’s in History, which he has taught at both the middle school and college levels. He was selected as the Benjamin Quarles University Honors Scholar in History, and studied under Dr. Quarles at Morgan State University, where he was inducted into the Phi Alpha Theta International Honors Society for Historical Studies; he was President of the Eta Omega Chapter, 1976. He holds a Master's, St. Mary's Seminary and University, and a Ph.D. from the University of Maryland College Park - his focus of study was on applied behavioral science in organizational settings. Marc is a master trainer and consultant with 40 years’ experience in teaching and training. For four years, he served as Baltimore's Director of Training & Education - Mayor's Office of Emergency Management & Public Safety.
