After years of acquisitions and strategic partnerships, the company dedicated some years to modernize their global HR strategy and systems. Standardizing processes, implementing a global HRIS system, and centralizing administrative type HR tasks to Manila.Stage 1: centralized Payroll processing for 17+ entities in the APAC Region into the Manila HR Service Center. Planned and project managed each country transition, coordinated changes with partners, standardized processes, and formed the APAC Payroll team to support the day-to-day payroll operations. Stage 2: hired and trained the newly created Employee Data Management team to support the company wide Business Process Modernization (BPM) changes, supporting the SAP S4Hana ERP system updates. Responsible for policing and managing all required HR Employee data being shared with the S4Hana system (and other third-party systems) is accurate and audited with data privacy (GDPR, PII) as a priority.Stage 3: expanded the Manila HR team to support the implementation of the new global HCM system, SAP SuccessFactors. Team leads and support members were hired and trained as System Administrators for each HR module being implemented. First, transitioning their European payroll processing from the Germany location to the Maryland head office. Payroll locations transitioned to the head office include Poland, Romania, UK, Hungary, Austria, Netherlands, Belgium, Italy, Sweden, France, and more. The transition includes process documentation, standardization of reporting, and creating efficiencies where possible. The methodology is to align as many processes within the monthly schedule and take advantage of technology where it makes sense (i.e. Kronos timekeeper). With an emphasis on aligning processes with internal partners such as HR in the early stages of the employee life cycle and with Finance in the latter stages of the payroll process. I also built country specific payroll documentations for their LATAM (Mexico, Colombia, Argentina, and Brazil) and APAC (Philippines, Malaysia, China, and India) locations. The documentation includes processes related to on-boarding, terminations, personal & job changes, benefits, annual changes, statutory rules, tax, banking, GL, and any country specific tasks directly related to payroll.The platform being utilized for global payroll is ADP Streamline, with several countries using local third party services. The goal is to move as many countries into the ADP Streamline model and process. Understanding there are limitations in certain locations, separate processes were created to blend these locations into the product that the internal partners from accounting, finance, and management require. -
