The group develops and maintains Envision’s forward-looking product strategy and roadmap, focusing on product architecture and system engineering tools, processes and methods that support key decision making and execution activities within the organization. The group leads the identification and evaluation of new technology and next-generation system architectures through engagement with domain knowledge experts.

Clean-sheet design and analysis of generator structural components and generator/turbine interface. Evaluated technical solutions through trade studies with input from team members, vendors and customers, and through design studies using custom developed parameterized models.

Responsible for the Mechanical Engineering group looking after all aspects of Suzlon’s North American turbine fleet’s mechanical and structural systems, turbine test campaigns and wind/site assessment. Achieved successful cross-cultural and cross-functional problem solving by promoting interaction with customers, manufacturers and engineering groups in Europe, Asia, Australia, Central America and North America.Drove continuous improvement and root cause analysis of turbine mechanical systems. Including project management of technical field validations with budgets over $100k; collecting, analyzing and reporting the results used to make recommendations that were adopted by the executive team.

Responsible for specification and design of electromechanical actuators for the aerospace industry to meet stringent customer and regulatory requirements that integrated products from internal component groups and outside suppliers.Design and analysis of gearboxes and mechanisms for internal and external customers including clean-sheet designs that successfully passed qualification and HALT testing. Brought new designs through the production process working with manufacturing, procurement, and assembly personnel to optimize hardware producibility, gaining in-depth understanding of manufacturing processes.
