As manager of the CPE Quality Assurance team responsible for QA testing of the various CPE projects within Liberty Global's footprint.

Activities:• Creating and maintaining test cases for STB HW and SW testing• Reviewing and approving test plans from STB vendors• Coordinate and manage Acceptance tests for STB hardware and embedded software• Reporting Test progress and defect descriptions in a centralized Test Management System• Liaising with the Product Teams on features, functionality and defect priorities• Liaising with Operational teams to report test results, operational procedures• Defining, installing, and maintaining test equipment• Extensive cooperation with CTO teams and external technology suppliers during problem investigations and validation of STB software updates (STB vendors, middleware vendors, CA vendors, application vendors)• Providing 3rd line support to engineers from all countries on all STB products• Liaising with countries on open issues, existing tickets and operational proceduresResponsibilities:• Responsible for correctly reporting all CPE testing activities to LGI management and relevant vendors• Participate and advise in go/no-go decisions for go-live of products and software roll outs• Responsible to coordinate and manage all test resources (both within the team as well as enabling countries to join certain testing activities)• Maintain relations and interactions with vendors, both on engineering level and management level• Responsible for maintaining the overall defect database for CPE testing• Responsible for maintaining the overall test case and test run database for CPE testing• Strong advising role within the team on a wide variety of problems and questions to unblock other team members

Performing software and hardware acceptance of various D4A settop boxes using existing test plans. Working with many Head-End components on a daily basis and gained a solid End-to-End view.Later assigned as lead engineer for one of the STB platforms in which I coordinated and participated in the HW and SW testing. After a successful launch assigned to a brand new project: Horizon. From the early development phase of Horizon assigned as lead engineer for the Gateway from CPE QA team perspective. In this role many new processes have been created needed to coordinate a project this large.
