Hamolé was a Spanish startup that aimed to bring a typical Spanish delicacy, cured ham, from the Iberian Peninsula to the rest of Europe, using the direct sales model. A difficult product to market through direct sales, but I loved the challenge and learned a lot here.For the Dutch and Belgian markets, I built a network of independent distributors from scratch. Networking and maintaining relationships were therefore a very important part of my daily activities. I supported and coached the distributors who joined us in all kinds of ways in their activities, informed them about our products etc. Furthermore, I organized and promoted various business opportunity meetings and was very active on social media and here on LinkedIn.Internally, I actively contributed to the European business plan, advised my colleagues at the headquarters on the many aspects of direct sales, initiated incentives and sales support activities, and informed headquarters on progress in the markets assigned to me.
