Dedicated and technically skilled professional with a versatile skill set developed through varied experience as a Security Access Coordinator, Facilities Operations Coordinator & Facilities Operations Technician for the Vancouver Fraser Port Authority (VFPA)External Liaison• Liaise with Law enforcement agencies in regard to security incidents on port properties,• Liaise with Transport Canada, Marine Facility Security Officers, and Access Control Officers on port pass related issuesSecurity Contract Coordination• Coordinate with various VFPA Departments to monitor the daily activities of VFPA’s contract security service providers assigned to roadway management services• Coordinate and liaise with VFPA’s contract security service providers to support the allocation and assignment of resources required for special events, including enhanced coverage and incidents• Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) for roadside security, VFPA Operations Centre, and security equipment• Security conduct follow-up inquiries on port-related security and port pass incidents with stakeholders and port community to ensure accuracy of the information provided and successful resolution of the incident• Assist in the planning, preparation, and coordination of security resources to support potentially negative port-related events, such as protests and labour action.• Act as a resource to the Marine Operations & Security Department to provide advice relating to port security, traffic management and deployment and utilization of roadside security patrollers.• As a member of the Marine Operations & Security Department, assist with response to emerging operational situations as required• Develop and coordinate security drills for contract security providers.Security Program Operations• Assist with the application of VFPA Access Control policies and procedures within the port community• Assist with the administration of the Card Access Management System in liaising with terminal and facility Access Control Officers over the issuance of port passes and associated issues• Assist with the administration of the Transport Canada Marine Transportation Security Clearance program in recording, monitoring and liaising with terminals and facilities regarding clearances (approved/denied/renewals) for port users• Conduct audits of the process, procedures, issuance and administration of stakeholders participating in the VFPA’s Port Pass Program• Develop training materials and provide training to support the Port Pass Sponsorship program
