I’m Marcel Duvivier, a graduate of Case Western Reserve University with a degree in Computer Science with a minor in Game Design. These past five years at Case Western Reserve University have offered me a wide range of courses and opportunities that have made me a versatile teammate on group projects as well as a strong project leader. As soon as I started programming in high school, I knew that I was meant for a role in software development, but my freshman year of college was interrupted by COVID. I had never been truly challenged until that point, and the difficulty of adjusting to online learning was an added complication. After taking some time to mentally reset and develop new strategies, the second half of my college experience was a more positive journey. The experience of building myself up after a rocky beginning and the resilience that enabled me to do so can be applied to any difficult situation and is a valuable skill that, in my opinion, cannot be taught in a classroom and I look forward to applying it.
