CurrentThe company specializes in Emergency Management, the development of Fire Safety Plans and Workplace Emergency Evacuation Plans, and the conduct of Fire Safety and Emergency Management Training.Mr. Ethier, President of JMEJ Consultants, has held various senior executive positions with the military, government, professional non-profit associations, and as director of a chemical engineering firm. During his career he has held a variety of positions within the fire service field ranging from journeyman fire fighter, to fire inspector and instructor, to fire chief and to deputy fire marshal for the National Defence and the Canadian Forces. He has also held the position of executive director and chief administrator for the Canadian Association of Fire Chiefs and Fire Prevention Canada for a period of 11 years. From 1999 to 2009 he has provided leadership, as Director, to a chemical engineering firm who specializes in providing critical solutions to critical incidents. Currently he is employed as a senior technical consultant. Mr. Ethier conducted many health and safety program reviews, safety and risk management audits and developed numerous building and facility emergency implementation plans for government, industrial and petro-chemical facilities, as well as and municipal disaster response organizations. He managed numerous Health and Safety projects and led numerous teams of experts and specialists in providing a safe work environment for workers. Marcel Ethier has a solid fire fighting, military engineering, CBRN, health and safety management and senior executive background. He has an established record of leadership, strategic planning, team building and organizational effectiveness. He is a creative problem-solver who recognizes unique individual and corporate strengths and possesses the ability to mobilize people and other resources to achieve a common goal.
