Marcel Gentner forms part of a young, dynamic team of professionals focused on dealing with claims by partnerships, companies (commercial and FI), and D&O's on the following types of policies: D&O, Professional Indemnity / E&O, EPL, Crime, Cyber and Warranty & Indemnity (TRI). He prepares coverage positions, explains and defends them vis a vis brokers / the client / the management, monitors the development of claims and where appropriate assigns counsel and manage the litigation and settlement. He also provides legal assistance to underwriters on claims related matters in several languages and jurisdictions. He has gained his experience through his work as a lawyer (admitted to the bar of both Germany and Spain) for more than 13 years in the Spanish branch of an international law firm with head office in Germany. Before he joined the TMHCC claims department he was working as Senior Product Development Associate in TMHCC for more than 2,5 years developing and reviewing Financial Lines, Cyber and W&I policies in English, Spanish and German language.

He developed and reviewed Financial Lines Insurances Policies (and related contractual documents), as well as he coordinated and leaded cross-department product projects. Furthermore he trained underwriters and other staff on insurance topics or related products, legal and compliance topics.

Marcel Gentner worked as Rechtsanwalt and Abogado registered in the Bar Associations in Stuttgart and Barcelona with a lot of international and practical experience in the areas of commercial and corporate law, labour law, contractual law and private international law. He advised in these areas to senior managers of small, medium and large companies in different sectors such as industry and engineering, commerce, banks and start-ups. He was working on:• Drafting/revision of all types of contracts (employment/commercial contracts, commercial agency contracts, joint ventures, cooperation agreements, distribution contracts, etc.) • Purchase and sale of companies (share deal/asset deal) and real estate (appartments, industrial buildings), • Carrying out Legal Due Diligences, Second Legal Opinions, "Red-Flag-DD". • Preparation and celebration of shareholders' meetings/board meetings (minutes, certificates, registration in the companies’ registers, etc.). • Management of the shareholders' meeting in the presence of 80 German and Spanish shareholders. • Responsible for the liquidation of the Spanish branch of a German financial institution. • Coordination between clients and the lawfirm's litigation lawyers in legal proceedings. • International inheritance law
