My role is to look after business support, IT support and, occasionally, building maintenance.I cover all aspects of IT needed by a small business, acquisition of equipment, setup & configuration, firewalling, monitoring & backups. Administration of Windows domains and the company's Microsoft 365 estate.Extensive experience with custom enhancements to the company's C# based internal administration system. Additional extensive experience using PHP and Drupal for the company's website, including a bespoke credit card payment gateway. I've developed custom synchronisation software modules to allow the internal systems to interact and synchronise with Xero, Drupal, HubSpot, Sendgrid and Microsoft.I'm comfortable with all aspects of book keeping and most aspects of accounting needed to manage a small business.My #1 interest is still creating software that meets real user needs and is intuitive to use. Running a non-IT company for this long means I now automatically combine this with a real-world understanding of business needs and processes.
