I joined Coral International School in Jeddah on Sep 19th of 2011 as a chemistry and physics teacher for the grades 7 to 12. My role is currently focused on involving the students in the learning activity and give them the best of both subjects. I work in a great team of science teachers, females and males, in which every single step is well scheduled and coordinated. Since the laws of Saudi Arabia impose sex segregation, one of my responsibilities was to keep this connection and reinforce the team working spirit. I also lead the Science department, and am a permanent member of the interviewing committee.

Coral International School focuses on the content delivered to students in order for the students to achieve the best and score the highest in school as well as in the SAT exams. This ensures that students are well prepared for university and have acquired indeed the best of knowledge before stepping into university doors. CIS proudly introduced the Books Committee this year, and registered the teachers who know the most the current books and are familiar with the curriculum endorsed by the school to every books conference for all the publishers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. I had the chance to join this wonderful team of experienced teachers and share our opinions and thoughts. This committee ended up choosing to convert the whole school to McGraw-Hill, which is well known for its quality content for international curricula worldwide.

I hold the position of Head of Science Department at Coral International School in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. My role is focused on developing the curriculum and lead the science department for the students to achieve more in their SAT exams in preparation for university admission. I work with a wonderful mixed males and females team where we share a lot of knowledge and experience every day. On the personal level, I learned a lot and developed new strengths and skills.

Due to the continuous development plans that CIS follows, the school is always in need for new employees. As part of my academic role at Coral, I’m a permanent member of the interviewing committee for teachers.

My role is focused on ensuring that both female and male sections run lessons and assessments at the same pace by directly reporting to the school’s academic coordinator, female and male sections’ principals. As well as monitoring teacher’s performance. I also provide assistance when needed especially for the new teachers.
