About Marcel Kamp

Having been an engineer for a while now, I find myself in the world of engineering management. I'm lucky enough to still have a chance to keep my eye in on the design side of things but also be able to run projects and manage teams of engineers. My past experience spans a large range or industries, perfectly placing me to have a macro view of a diverse range of projects; understand their requirements and put in place what is needed to pull them off. Skill in communication and collaboration are just as important as technical knowledge when it comes to delivering a project on time and on budget. Outside of work I tinker with my own projects; I have designed and built my own 3D printer from scratch, experimenting with different concepts and designs; built a novel long line fishing kontiki, and restored a 1979 Porsche 924. I love getting out of the house to go tramping, scuba diving and generally travelling.
