I am an experienced hand therapist with licensed work experience in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. This is work that I truly enjoy. In my last role I managed a team of hand therapists as an Occupational Therapy lead in Switzerland. I was particularly proud that in addition to providing therapy and patient care, we were able to make improvements to processes and efficiency. I lead my team in switching to digital documentation very quickly and was the first therapeutic team to do so in the organization. The team worked very well together, and I was able to impart the necessary knowledge to the team in training sessions. The change management worked well, and I was able to address any questions that the team had as we made the transition.Every patient who comes to me has their own individual story. I always look forward to accompanying the patient on his way and working out solutions together. It’s satisfying to help improve health and range of motion.My core competencies include: - Experience and skills in splint construction. I am a good contact person for my colleagues, and I enjoy sharing my knowledge and experience with them.- Leading employees and mentoring students.- Treating acute patients and wound care. I relocated to California last year and am looking at what’s next for me. Becoming re-licensed in a new country can take several years and so I am exploring new options. I enjoy keeping in touch with my colleagues in Europe and building up a new network in the US. Currently I am exploring new opportunities in health care but also in other areas and enjoying getting to know the greater Solano County and Bay area in San Francisco.
