I also investigation and produced concept programs for the use of AR devices (cellphones and ODG smartglasses) in order to interface with a vessel’s control systems to give an indication of equipment energies and states in a live, on-site interface. Pitched this to management and was given 2 months to develop it, including product data management, development of tools to allow Solidworks to utilize master-modelling methodology, automation of CNC cutting file exports and automation of numerous aspects of the shop detailing process to speed it up and make products more uniform. Spent nearly 3 months in Namibia, assisting with project management and general activities in a period where the company didn’t have a general manager or lead project manager. The period in-between were spent working as a project manager at the Belmet Cape Town facility.
