I am currently employed by Matsei Technology and Consulting (Pty Ltd) based in the Innovation Hub at the Innovation Centre Pretoria. I am a senior consultant / manager in the company. I am currently contracted to the Department of Defence on the Through Life Capability Management project.

I was employed by the South African Information Technology Agency based in South Africa Perseus Park and Centurion. I was the Lead consultant for the transversal solution implementations.My responsibility was to establish the roll out of the transversal solutions across all government departments. This included business intelligence as well as enterprise content management.

My responsibility includes the implementation of the IFMS Supply Chain Management products at the lead sites as well as the roll out sites. The lead sites include 5 projects in the government at National Treasury, Limpopo Province and Department of Defence and the roll out sites includes the preparation of 155 departments for the Supply Chain Implementations. My task included the management of the SITA implementation resources as well as the contractual management of two consortiums responsible for the COTS implementations on a program level.

I was the IFMS Program Manager for all the Supply Chain Management product developments and lead site implementations. I was responsible for the Asset Management and Item Master bespoke, Procurement Management Oracle COTS Application, Catalogue Management Pilog COTS Application developed, integration and customised to form the transversal IFMS Supply Chain products. I was also responsible for the lead site implementations at 4 government departments. A total number of 11 projects. My task included the management of the SITA development and implementation resources as well as the contractual management of two consortiums responsible for the COTS development and implementations on a program level.

I was contracted through SITA (South African Information Technology Agency) to National Treasury as the IFMS (Integrated Financial Management System) project requirements manager as well as the business architect for the item identification and maintenance management functional sub system architectural deliverables. The TOGAF framework with detailed method and supporting tools is used for developing the enterprise architecture. The ZAGMAN framework is used for the logical structure of the architecture artifacts.The IFMS requirements management includes the definition of all requirements starting from business, architect, analysis as well as for software requirements. The IFMS project adopted the RUP (Rational Unified Process) discipline for the requirements management processes. This is a very new field for the project. I am responsible for the structuring and implementation of the total IFMS requirements management process in the total project. I implemented an Issue/Risk and a change request management process in the project.

I was contracted through Denel Personnel Solutions to the South African Air Force as the project leader for all functional engineering implementation and support management on the operational information management system of Director Combat System’s aircraft products.The management role included the information management system qualification and implementation functions on the SAAF’s new acquisition projects as well as the base lining of the interface architecture between the acquisition product systems and the operational management system. The biggest challenge was to structure all functional deliverables in detail to ensure that the product is delivered as a total system.

I was contracted from Motswedi IFS to SITA (State Information Technology Agency) to the South African Air Force for all functional engineering support and implementation management on the operational information management system of Director Combat System’s aircraft products.I also acted as functional specialist on the maintenance, configuration, supply chain interaction and business intelligence management implementations / support.I handled all initial customers selling sessions to management.I defined and managed all user requirements/investigations for software customisation to ensure that the information system supports the exact requirement of the client.I was responsible for the interface specifications between the product systems acquired on the new South African armament acquisition projects.I was also responsible for the coordination and standards of three information system implementation and support projects.

I was responsible for the implementation management and selected functional business process implementation of the operational and logistic management system at Denel Aviation’s air vehicle system business group and industry sub contractors. I was responsible for the structuring of the engineering change process for the total business unit.

I was responsible for the functional acceptance in a software development team on a supply chain/management project. The supply chain software was designed for the Royal Air Force as customers.A group consisting of South African and British functional acceptance specialists reported to me for the project.I also functioned as one of the functional acceptance resources.The supply chain project included the requirements, grouping, costing, acceptances, contract agreements, order placing, delivery and acceptance modules.

Implementing the company’s logistic management system software package on a fighter, trainer and helicopter aircraft systems at twelve different locations in South Africa. My responsibility was to reach the required milestones at the contracted specifications within the set budget. It included leading the consultation team, chairing all progress and project review meetings, documenting project status/deviation reports as well as the project financial management. My consultation responsibility was to facilitate business process flow and implementing scope sessions. My technical involvement was to assist the team to develop a workflow model, specify and customise the existing information system, do the operational training and facilitate business mind switch sessions. I also developed a project acceptance and handover process.A group of supply chain, configuration, maintenance and operational management resources reported to me.

My main responsibility was to accept the development life cycle deliverables as a customer representative from different consulting groups. The secondary responsibility was to manage the implementation consulting team that implemented two expert/specialist information systems. (Fault diagnostics system / Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals system). I was also responsible to promote the systems as part of the customer structure.

I was responsible for the management of all logistic elements over the life cycle of a transport aircraft system. The main components were budget management, logistics support and engineering management. I was also responsible for the logistic information management preparation phase of the system.

My main responsibility was to ensure delivery target dates from the production line at the correct aviation safety standards. Stand up production meetings was utilised to do the deviation management. The factory workers consisted of two supervisors, three engineers, electronic, electrical, radio, radar, sheet- metal, painters and toolmaker artisans. The team of 130 workers rebuilt 16 Aircraft over a 3 year period.

As the aircraft maintenance officer I was responsible for the management of 190 personnel that executed 65 servicing per year on 5 different types of aircraft. The main objective was to deliver the required amount of aircraft on target date at a pre determined quality to the system users.

In the log representative position I was responsible for the technical advice to the project leader of an maritime aircraft midlife update project. My main responsibility was to ensure integration between systems and to follow the correct logistic policies.In the Squadron Log Officer position I was responsible for the interface between the ops officer and the log branch ensuring aircraft readiness required quality.
