I work at IFIC, the High Energy Physics research center in Valencia. The institute is funded by Valencia University and the Spanish Research Council CSIC. From 2009-2014 I had a Ramon y Cajal tenure track research grant. Since May 2014 I am a staff researcher (cientifico titular) of CSIC .My research concentrates on two of the major projects in high energy phsyics. I devote a large fraction of my time investigating the production of boosted top quarks in the ATLAS experiment at the LHC, that may be a sensitive probe for physics beyond the Standard Model. At the same time, we are preparing for the "next large machine". My group is active in the development of innovative pixel detectors for a proposed new collider facility known as the International Linear Collider.

Three-year post-doctoral research grant in the institute at Pisa of the Italian nuclear physics institute INFN. I worked in the group that is active in CMS, one of the two general-purpose experiments in the LHC at CERN. The most important objective of the group was the construction of one of the CMS detectors. I was responsible for the the validation of the inner tracker structures before shipment to CERN. I also developed the b-jet trigger (software) that will be used in the experiment.
