About Marcela Johnson, Ph.D.
I am a bioinformatics scientist with 7+ years of experience in different applications including cancer, proteomics of disease-causing parasites, the neuro-immune axis in asthma, and plant pathogen detection using metagenomics.Currently, I am finishing up a postdoc at Johnson & Johnson, where I’ve been analyzing large-scale genomics and proteomics datasets, including the UK Biobank and Genomics England, for biomarker discovery in lung cancer.As my postdoc wraps up, I am excited to continue contributing to the improvement of cancer patients' lives by applying omics-based approaches to precision medicine.
