Manage the translation production, for a small localisation company, including client communication, supplier management and providing the primary project point of contact for all client enquiries. Manage the full financial aspect of all translation projects. Train and support team. Organise general office duties such as filing, answering telephone enquiries, sorting and distributing incoming correspondence, maintaining office inventory and supplies.

Universally offer localisation services to the gaming industry, this predominantly involves small but very fast turn around time jobs (up to 20 a day) in a high pressure / high speed environment. During my time there I took on several dissatisfied clients and turned them into happy customers, implemented a new project management tool and was promoted to project management team leader.

Primarily looked after the key account, managing a team of junior project managers, leading status calls with clients and working closely with diverse in-house production teams as well as external suppliers.

Originally employed as a Terminologist I was transferred to the Project Management department as a Project Manager and then promoted to Programme Manager looking after the team handling the key account. The responsibilities included the line management of a team of project managers and coordinators, continuously monitoring and reviewing production processes and (with the project team), generating and implementing improvements that resulted in improved turnaround times, decreased costs of production and improved customer and employee satisfaction. Also working at an operational level with the client to gather long and medium-term planning to allow effective forward planning and resourcing.

Hired as a project coordinator and quickly promoted to project manager. Responsibilities and duties included resourcing, coordinating and liaising with external vendors such as Translators, Reviewers, Desktop publishers and Software engineers to ensure all jobs were translated and finalized as per schedule and on budget as well as monitoring and maintaining project financials, including revenue recognition and billings. Regularly given the difficult customers because of my customer service skills.

Provided customer account information, electronic record keeping, clerical duties.

Provided project administrative support for a team of 10 senior professionals in a very pressurised, deadline-driven environment to increase co-operation between public agencies in Bedfordshire.
