Marcela Donatello is a Co-founder @ Fundraising Bootcamp, community builder, startup mentor. She is proficient in French. Colleagues describe her as "As one of TMRW’s earliest members, I’ve had the pleasure of working with Marcela since early 2017.
Over the years she’s been - and continues to be - a smart, readily available, supportive and insightful sounding board to me across several businesses and projects.
Even with TMRW’s community continuing to expand, Marcela still manages to keep one finger on the pulse of what each and every member is up to - their successes and struggles - and is a natural connector, bringing together people to help and support each other.
During the time I’ve spent at TMRW I’ve seen her build and maintain a truly engaged and supportive community of startups and small businesses - owners and team members alike - where we regularly collaborate and trade services with each other. That’s no mean feat when we’re all so often distracted working on the next pitch, project or fundraise.
The TMRW community, under Marcela’s watchful eye, has been invaluable to my business and to me personally.
And the social events she’s organised have been off the scale!" and "Relocating your life and business to a different part of the country can be a very isolating experience, especially if that move takes place after decades in just one location. You are suddenly starting out all over again, needing to make new friends and developing a new network of business contacts.
I was very lucky in that I discovered TMRW within weeks of my move into Croydon. Although not the first co-working space I had visited, either in London generally, or Croydon more specifically – the relaxed, friendly environment coupled with the team I met on my initial tour made me confident that this was the space for me and my business.
From day one Marcella, TMRW’s resident community manager, helped me settle in, meet new people and arrange initial meetings with potential partners and prospects. I was quickly signed up to community lunches, shepherded into an eating competition and attending regular socials, complete with games of beer pong.
All these activities had a profound effect on both my personal and business life – I found myself wanting to come into the office, rather than working from the comfort of home. I found myself enjoying networking with other businesses again, rather than heading off to catch the latest box set. I found myself telling businesses in central London that they were missing out on all that Croydon had to offer.
I can say without doubt that Marcela is the real reason for me why TMRW was such a great place to work from. She was always available to answer questions, she always introduced me to new arrivals, she encouraged me to attend events (even when I was at my laziest) and she took the time to really get to know me and have a conversation. I’ve worked in a lot of nice office spaces in my time in business, some with community managers, but I’ve never worked in one with a Marcela! "
