Marcela Alejandra Villán qualified as a Teacher of English in Buenos Aires, Argentina in 1996. She got a TESOL certification some years later.She is a passionate life long learner and at present, she holds a Diploma in School Management , a Diploma in NeuroSciences and Leadership and a Diploma in Socio Emotional Learning. She also holds a Diploma in Educational Technology and in Environmental Education. Besides, she finished her "Programa para la Educación para la Sustentabilidad y la Ciudadanía Global" en UDESA in 2020 and her Bachelor`s Degree in English Language Teaching in UFASTA some time later.She has worked in the teaching field for more than 30 years, preparing a great number of students for all kinds of Cambridge examinations , including IGCSE.She has been a London University and Oxford University Examiner as well and has worked extensively with the Anglia Team.Marcela specializes in ESD (Education for Sustainable Development) as she has taught Environmental Education for more than 15 years. As a consequence, she has become a Global Educator participating in Global Projects and working with Global organizations on the issue. She has also delivered webinars around the world on the topic as is also a teacher trainer.Marcela supports the United Nations 2030 Agenda. She firmly believes in its inclusion in the classrooms as she has been a TeachSDGs ambassador since 2019, a T4 ambassador and has become a Global Schools Advocate and Mentor. What is more, she collaborates with world-wide organizations, like T4 Education, working for the betterment of education as a whole. Her latest achievement is connected with the Institute for Humane Education , in Maine, USA. She is local coach in Argentina and Latin America for that institution , facilitating cohorts for their Micro-credential Solutionary Project.
