The new Netherlands Climate Research Initiative (KIN) is set up to make a substantial contribution to accelerating the transformations needed to achieve a sustainable, climate-neutral society by 2050. Science and research can play an important role in this. The Programme Committee assists in selecting projects that can help accelerate transitions in countries are most heavily impacted by climate change and least contributed to it.

The Group of Friends of Biodiversity is an informal group of member states of the Rome-based UN agencies. It aims to raise the profile of biodiversity within these institutions and amongst the broader membership. Biodiversity is the cornerstone of any food system, its importance for the future of food production can hardly be overestimated. About half of the targets of the Global Biodiversity Framework, as adopted at COP15 of the CBD, needs to be realized within food systems.
