It is a general approach to designing in which designers ensure that their products and services address the needs of the widest possible audience, irrespective of age or ability. Future consumer markets will be more diverse than ever in terms of age and physical ability. Design development which includes the needs of marginalised groups of people is regarded as not just socially desirable but a commercial opportunity. In this project we are extracting experiences from stereotype end-users that can be utilized to make the product more interesting and relevant for a big part of the population e.g. packaging that is developed for people with arthritis can be easier to open for us all; an automatic door benefits everyone, not just older and disabled people.
