For Philips I designed a new interface for a telehealth system.- Conducting interviews and focus group sessions, and creating personas and scenarios.- Creating sketches, flows, wireframes, and detailed specifications for tablet.- Through an iterative process, concepts were designed and tested until a final clickable prototype was created.- Planning and conducting usability tests.

This was a freelance job for research and consultancy company CAB Groningen.- Conducting stakeholder interviews and user interviews.- Facilitating card sorting sessions.- Creating process flows, sketches, wireframes and prototypes for web.

For this placement at Philips I conducted market research for an existing product with added functionality.- Researching if there was a market for this product, who the potential users were, and studying the change in consumer acceptance compared to the existing product.- Facilitating brainstorming sessions and designing new features for this product.

During the Integral Product Development program, I worked within an international and multidisciplinary team for PTC rm&s. This is an innovative electronic engineering company that provides high end technological solutions. PTC was working on the development and realization of a Real Time Locating System based on a wireless concept. The system is intended to track assets and individuals outdoors and inside buildings where GPS receivers don't work. The assignment was to find markets for the system and describe possible RTLS applications.We conducted market research to find feasible markets for the system, and conducted a competitor analysis. Finally we chose two markets in which we did further research. After a creative session to generate ideas for the system, one idea was chosen. We designed a tag and phone application for museum visitors. With this application the user can see his or her own position, the location of other people who are connected to the app, and functions as a tour guide through the museum. In order to find out if there was a need for this product within the chosen market, we conducted more user research.

For research and consultancy company CAB Groningen I conducted a usability study on their website. This study gave the company insights regarding the use of their website, how users perceive the site, and if the website conformed to usability guidelines.- Planning and conducting usability tests.- Evaluating the website through Google Analytics and heuristic evaluations.- Conducting stakeholder interviews.- Evaluating the usability of a client’s website.

One office, five months, students of different backgrounds, hunderds of ideas, a joung entrepreneur, a researcher and lots of ambition. These are the ingredients of the minor Da Vinci, where students collaborate with each other to work on new ideas. The goal is to develop entrepreneurial behavior and creative skills. During this minor I was part of team Running Science (How the UMCG can share its knowledge about running with the general public). 4 million people are runners. This is almost a quarter of the Dutch population. Imagine that all these people are looking for information about their sport, but are being sufficated by the commercial world that is called "Running". They get lost in their search for information about their sport.The UMCG, with running pioneers Steef Bredeweg and Ida Buist, has the knowledge and the will to help this group of people in their search for information. Runnning Science is the solution for all the questions by this enormous group of athletes, and can help a large part of the Dutch population. We created an advisory for the development of a lively community to bring running to a new level. By offering scientific information in an interactive an approachable manner, this information becomes accessible for everybody.
