• Assisted Parmalat Spa as International Financial and Tax Expert Witness in its US$20BN bankruptcy, Europe's biggest. Participated in depositions in NYC to verify if international financing structures in excess of.
• Advised multinationals Kizer Energy Inc, Schlumberger, Secure Oil Tools, Aggreko PLC and Lenovo in structuring their operations in Venezuela. Advise included treaty issues, foreign tax credits, withholding taxes.
• Co-lead and represented Nestle de Venezuela S.A. in the US$200MM hostile takeover of Mavesa by Grupo Polar de Venezuela, Venezuela´s biggest food industry acquisition. Also, co-handled a high profile transfer pricing.
• Advised various multinationals and co-lead important mergers and acquisitions: (i) Represented IBM in the Venezuelan Chapter of the US$3.5BN in cash and stock, global purchase and merger of PriceWaterhouseCoopers.

• Startup selected and accelerated by Wayra Venezuela. Wayra is an international incubator owned and operated by Grupo Telefonica Spain.
• As founder, CEO and GC, scaled the business and achieved a 20% month-to-month growth before the current hyperinflation and humanitarian crisis destroyed the Venezuelan economy.
• In approximately 6 months, using agile project management tools such as Trello, Slack and Invision, and acting as project owner and director -from idea conception to soft-launch-, formed and coordinated the team of IT.
• Selected, interviewed, hired and trained the startup team.
• Selected and negotiated with all stakeholders and fostered strong personal relationships with all of them.
• Prepared bootstrapped budgets, operations, marketing and commercial KPI's, including acted as head of weekly scrum follow-up meetings.

Santiago De Chile, Las Condes, CL

• Uber-like same-day delivery startup. As founder, CEO and GC, Marcel was instrumental managing all activities mentioned below for Tumotorizado.com, with the added difficulty of doing so in a non-native country..
• As the project owner and working with the IT and design team of Zhipcode, in 2 months adapted Tumotorizado´s IT platform and launched it in Chilean market.
• In 1 month implemented a novel electronic invoicing system in Chile. The scope of this challenging and not regulated project included idea conception, IT and legal solution assessment, outsourcing, internal API.
• In 1 month and working with the sales team, creatively restructured the pricing strategy to improve traction. The team achieved the 20% month-to-month growth goal. The new strategy also allowed messengers to earn more.
• Of a group of 100, Zhipcoce was 1 of 8 startups selected by Startup Chile accelerator to pitch in SUP demo day, May 2015.
• Pitched in the startup competition E-commerce Day in Santiago, Chile. Awarded second place in the 2015 startups competition.
