Marcella represents the City of Denton as Deputy City Attorney in the City Attorney's office.Marcella's passion for collaboration and service extends to a commitment to pro bono work and civic involvement. She has worked with a variety of asylum applicants, including working to obtain asylum for a young Honduran woman. Marcella enjoys working with the Houston Volunteer Lawyers and frequently attends their Saturday morning intake clinics.Marcella has represented clients in complex litigation matters including shareholder disputes and fraud allegations, post-closing deal disputes and real estate matters. Marcella's early experience in complex energy transactions in the upstream, midstream and project development context supports her understanding of complex commercial litigation issues related to such transactions. Marcella has counseled clients on a broad range of energy related transactions and projects and the related consideration and risks; spanning from domestic oil and gas asset acquisitions and divestitures to global LNG project development.
