I hate to lose. Just ask my family and they will inform you to never play Monopoly with me, but I believe this mindset has served me well. It has continually propelled me forward. I bring this same can-do attitude to my leadership roles.I encourage ideas, innovation, and an inquisitive nature. Challenging the present is how we improve and grow. This applies to people and organizations. Every team member has their own unique story, with personal strengths and weaknesses, and as a leader I listen to my team members so that I can better manage and advise them. This is how I break down barriers and encourage engagement. A robust team or organization can weather difficult storms and pull together to drive toward stretch goals.Operations is tough. It requires adaptability and perseverance, along with a calm demeaner when faced with difficult situations. I have over 20 years of operations experience and have successfully led through many difficult times; 2008 economic downturn, plant closures, hurricane damage, and Covid. Each had its own set of issues, but relying on solid operating systems, committed team members, and my own experience allowed me to manage the P&L successfully. I believe strongly in a metrics driven culture that utilizes the strategic planning process to align the organization to deliver high performance. I have experience developing the strategic plan for operations that included the functional areas of manufacturing engineering, design engineering, strategic sourcing, quality, customer service, and logistics. I have also managed business at various stages of maturity including M&A, start-ups, established companies, turnarounds, and consolidations.I bring my tenacity into everything I do, even in my personal life. I love to tackle challenges, so I’m working on cooking my way through Julia Childs cookbook and learning the practice of Pilates. I also enjoy reading, hiking, kayaking, and dog rescue work.
